Abstract

This paper takes an in depth analysis of stress cases specifically in the college environment. While examining each case, it only focuses on the internal struggles of stressors. Society dictates the norms and rules of its society. The larger picture of external factors that caused the negative claim tends to be lost and only the negativity claim is focused on. Studies performed from researchers indicate negative results from stress but only from an individual view, not a social dimensional large scale. Research on college student stress focus too much on the individual perspective, which is too narrow, and ignores the larger social dimensional view of stress, which can be used for tools of alleviation. The social dimensional picture of stress needs to be used in order to accurately comprehend the stress college student’s experience.
